George W. Bush signed the Patriot Act II into law on Saturday, which virtually never happens, under the cover of the capture of Saddam Hussein. Passage of the new Act made the middle bottom of page 63 in the newspapers and television and radio never carried the issue. Saddam was front-page news. It was more important that the American people see his tonsils and watch as his hair was probed for lice than it was to let them know that the FBI can pull all your financial history without a warrant.

The result of Saddam Hussein's capture will be in the short term a higher stock market and bonds and a test of $400 an ounce on gold. The FED again has committed itself to an inflation trap only this time when inflation has peeked depression will begin....George W. Bush desperately needed a 9/ll type of event to justify, via lies, to invade Iraq. This supplied the mandate for war and justified a dramatic increase in military spending.
