This Guy Trump

If you can’t say anything else, the last year and a half has been entertaining, hasn’t it! I can’t wait for the results of the investigations, not to mention the mid terms. This ought to be a lot of fun.

I’ve come through a few Presidents in my life. But never has one stirred the pot like the present. The people that don’t like him, just don’t “don’t like him” they hate him with a fervor that’s rare to see.

Just the other day, Robert De Nero went off the reservation at the 72nd Tony Awards, the annual ceremony that’s supposed to celebrate the best of Broadway. But instead of leading off with praise for the actors and actresses, he felt it necessary to change the script. De Niro stepped on the stage to give a simple introduction to Bruce Springsteen’s Tony-nominated show, and immediately went off the rails.

“I’m gonna say one thing … F–k Trump,” De Niro declared with his fists in the air. “It’s no longer ‘Down with Trump,’ it’s ‘F–k Trump!'”

Not surprisingly, his remarks were welcomed with cheers and a standing ovation.

The right has come up with a name for such actions. It’s called “Trump derangement syndrome” and it’s probably worthy of a chapter in the psychology books. From the Hollyweird A-listers, to the lap-dog media, the hysteria around Donald Trump is palpable and dangerous.

One might ponder the hypocrisy of a person that gets paid millions of dollars to act like someone else. Worse, here’s a guy that worked with Harvey Weinstein for years, even on several films together, yet high and mighty Robert didn’t take the high road and drop a dime on that raping piece of sewer filth. Why should we listen to him? but make no mistake, many do. In fact, in October, just before the Election between Trump and Hillary, this is what he had to say in Dubai:

We have just got to stop him, period. It is disgraceful this guy was allowed to get as far as he has. I don’t understand how people could be seduced into thinking this guy has an answer. He has no answer. “There are things that Hillary [Clinton] does but she is a grown up and will be a good leader. She has to become president as far as I am concerned. I feel that with someone like Trump… if he becomes president, there will be mass protests and demonstrations. I hope to God it doesn’t happen.”

Well it did happen. And each and every day, liberals such as De Niro, and Maher go out of their way to deride him. Just within the last several days alone, we had Bill Maher “hoping” for another recession because a crashing economy can hurt Trump’s reelection chances.

“Sorry if that hurts people,” Maher told his audience, “but it’s either root for a recession or you lose your democracy.”

I’m not even going to mention the ugliness that Samantha Bee tossed at Ivanka. That’s Trump Derangement at the highest levels.

But, here’s my biggest question. According to the Washington Examiner, Trump has logged 81 major achievements in his short term in office. Sure you can argue about some of them, such as the “almost record low” unemployment rate. It’s nothing of the sort. But then again, they didn’t change the way unemployment is calculated when he took office. It’s the same rotten system that Bush had and Obama had.

Looking at the list, I feel there’s a lot of truly good achievements he’s made that simply don’t make the nightly news. If it did, they’d have to admit he “does a few things okay”.

Here’s a few:

  • Signed an Executive Order demanding that two regulations be killed for every new one creates. He beat that big and cut 16 rules and regulations for every one created, saving $8.1 billion.
  • Signed 15 congressional regulatory cuts.
  • Withdrew from the Obama-era Paris Climate Agreement, ending the threat of environmental regulations.
  • Made good on his campaign promise to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership.
  • Trump traveled the world to promote the sale and use of U.S. energy.
  • Ended the Obama-era “catch and release” of illegal immigrants.
  • Justice worked with Central American nations to arrest and charge 4,000 MS-13 members.
  • Signed the Veterans Appeals Improvement and Modernization Act.

Obviously I could go on and on. But that’s not my point. My point is that all these A-list multi millionaires continue to say that Trumps ruining everything, pissing off the world at us, screwing our allies.

Really? Really folks? So when US companies started to flee the US to build their products in china and Vietnam on the cheap, and ship them back here for untold billions in profit, the trade deals were worked out, to where they can tariff us, but we can’t them. What lunacy is that? It’s 50 years of the US citizen getting milked.

Oh, so our allies don’t like it that Trump demands they pay up for NATO. Too bad ally. If you want the big protection, pay for it. Who’s the slimy scumbags that set up a system where we’ll protect you, but hey, if you want to rape us on trade, that’s fine?

The bottom line here, isn’t whether Trumps a great guy, or an adulterer. It isn’t about his mannerisms. No, the “issue here “ is pretty simple. THE SYSTEM WE HAVE IN PLACE, THE ONE THAT’S CRUSHED THE MIDDLE CLASS FOR 45 YEARS, WAS NOT BY ACCIDENT. THE SYSTEM EXISTS BECAUSE THE ELITE RICH GOT RICHER.

And Donald Trump is playing in their sandbox. They don’t want anything to change. They’re very happy with the system they set up and approved. Thus, they have to fight back against this guy with everything they have.

Nowhere was this more evident than the news reports after Trump and Kim Jun Un had their historic meeting. Never before had a sitting US President ever met personally with the leader of North Korea, and all the media could do was blast him.

“What did this accomplish? “
“North Korea just played Trump”.
“Seems Trump is not only Putin’s puppet, but North Korea’s too”

Those were some of the comments I caught on different news sites. But CNN was naturally the most unhinged. Let’s start with one of their “experts”.

How should we characterize the Singapore summit between Donald Trump and Kim Jong Un? Underwhelming. Their signed joint statement lists aspirations -- and without a single word of substantive commitment by either side. The summit yielded no specific policy or strategy on peacemaking, denuclearization or economic development trajectory in North Korea.

So this genius figures that on the FIRST ever meeting, everything from denuclearization, to who’s going to give NK citizens jobs should have been spelled out in detail. Give me a break.

Or, how about this Headline from another supposed CNN “expert” YJ Fischer: Trump's North Korea deal likely won't be as good as Obama's Iran deal.

Oh that thing? The deal that WAS NEVER SIGNED, and then we had to ship a few billion in cold hard cash on pallets to them? Great deal, top notch. Not.

But there’s more! CNN is always good for bringing on experts. Hell, I’m surprised they didn’t invite De Niro, I’m sure he’s an expert on this too.

Regardless of which way this goes, however, the Singapore Summit will serve as a road map for dictators and would-be proliferators around the world: achieve a nuclear capacity, terrorize your people, and go right up to the brink of a nuclear standoff and you'll get, in return, selfies and summitry.

Let me ask a pretty simple question to all these experts. Let’s suppose that Kim really does rule over the most ruthless nation ever devised. But he hates it, and hates how his people are treated and how they live like cavemen with no electricity, while 20 miles south, everyone lives like a king. HOW WOULD HE START THE TRANSITION?

Don’t you think he has his own “Deep state” to try and fend off? Don’t you think there’s hard liners there that live very well in their high positions, while the people grovel? Do you think it’s some walk in the park to change 75 years of that kind of oppression?

NO One can fix the mess this country is in. Not Donald Trump, not spiderman. But he’s the first one I’ve seen that’s at least tried to do some things. I’d like to see more “fair” trade. I’d like to see less taxes. I’d like to see more factories. I’d like to see more kids going into trades. I’d like to see us get along with Russia and do business instead of making nukes. I’d like to see NK transition and become like SK. I’d like to see our justice system actually work for the poor and the rich. There’s a million things I’d like to see. I’ll be lucky to get any of them.

But that said, I can’t think of anyone that’s truly electable that gives me a shot at getting some of them. This guy isn’t perfect by any means. But since his election I’ve heard that 1) the stock market would crash if he’s elected. It didn’t. 2) we’d be at war, we’re not 3) He’d ruin the economy ( it was already trashed) 4) We’d be in a global recession never seen before and on and on. None of it happened.

I want to be positive. I want us to succeed with NK. I want the top of the FBI cleaned up. I want jobs for people, and a working middle class. I don’t know what this Trump guy can accomplish, but he’s at least trying. For that I’ll get more popcorn and watch the looney left continue to melt down and blame everything from foot fungus, to locust plagues on him.

If you can’t say anything else, the last year and a half has been entertaining, hasn’t it! I can’t wait for the results of the investigations, not to mention the mid terms. This ought to be a lot of fun. ( buy more popcorn!)
